I found Fiona to be highly professional. It was a long courtship with the hiring organisation and at no point did I feel I was being pushed or rushed. The relationship was nurtured and she took time to understand me and what I wanted to achieve from a move.
It was evident that she understood the role (even the technical elements which surprised me), the client, and the culture of the organisation. Coming from a consultancy background I was very clear what I wanted to achieve from an in-house move. The role proved to be exactly as was billed by all parties.
The promotion ‘promises’ were real and over the past few years I have progressed from a UK role to become the Global Systems Development Director with considerable international exposure.
Fiona and I have continued our working relationship/friendship and I value her direct, honest and open approach.
Having previously recruited the Group HRD, we were delighted to be introduced to other areas of the business. Over the course of several years we built a reputation across divisions such as Claims, Commercial and Retail.
We were successful in winning a mandate in the Technology function. The function was undergoing considerable change and transformation and on the cusp of bringing work back in-house and building its own capability in India. They were keen to hire a HIPO consultant who was at the crossroads of committing to either a Partnership path or an in-house leadership role.
Through our network we identified a number of HIPO consultants and presented a shortlist of possible candidates. Timing of the process was dictated by both client and candidates as the strategy developed around the India development. It was a lengthy courtship, but one which after eight months had a successful conclusion.
The placed candidate has done exceptionally well in the organisation and having now been promoted to a Global role, has been instrumental in driving the Systems Development strategy for the whole group. We continue to remain partners.
